The music world was rocked recently by swirling allegations that Peter Okoye, one half of the iconic Nigerian duo P-Square, had reported his twin brother, Paul, to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over suspected financial misappropriation. As rumors spread like wildfire, fans were left puzzled and divided, speculating on what could have gone so wrong between the once inseparable brothers. Now, Peter Okoye has decided to set the record straight, revealing a shocking chain of events that unfolded behind the scenes.

In an emotional and candid statement, Peter began by addressing a common criticism leveled at the P-Square brand: "It's always surprising to me when people say, 'P-SQUARE is always bringing their family matters into the public eye.' Let me clarify this. P-SQUARE is not just a family – it's a public brand. Our fans have played a significant role in our success, so they have the right to know what’s happening with their beloved brand P-SQUARE."

Peter then dived straight into the heart of the matter, vehemently denying the accusations that he had reported Paul to the EFCC. "I never reported my twin brother PAUL to the EFCC," he stated, addressing the shock and disappointment many fans felt when Paul accused him of doing so. According to Paul, Peter had written a petition that led to Paul being asked by the EFCC to provide a surety, suggesting that he was detained – a claim Peter flatly denies.

The real drama, according to Peter, started when he stumbled upon a shocking discovery that shook him to the core. He found out about a company called Northside Music, eerily similar in name to P-Square's management company, Northside Entertainment. What baffled Peter even more was that the directors of this secret company were none other than their elder brother, Jude Okoye, and his wife, Ifeoma. The registered address? The family home of Jude’s wife.

"I was in shock," Peter revealed, "I knew I had to talk to PAUL about it. I approached him multiple times, asking if he knew anything about this secret company and the whereabouts of some of P-SQUARE’s royalties. Each time, he denied knowing anything about it."

Peter was determined to clear his name and challenge the narrative Paul had spun. "I want to set the record straight. I hereby challenge PAUL, or anyone else, to show any petition that I, Peter Okoye, ever submitted against my twin brother PAUL or that has PAUL’S name on it."

Peter further explained that his legal team was given strict instructions to focus only on the primary suspects, Jude Okoye and his wife Ifeoma, the directors of the secret company, Northside Music. "PAUL’S recent interview about the EFCC incident contains a lot of lies," Peter asserted, expressing his disbelief at Paul's public claims. "He claimed I petitioned him, but that’s not something that ever happened. The truth is, this was something that actually happened to JUDE."

The true extent of the betrayal, according to Peter, was uncovered when he realized that for years, millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira had been secretly diverted from their company, Northside Entertainment, to Northside Music. "This was not just a minor issue – it was a massive betrayal that had been going on for several years."

Despite trying to resolve the matter privately with Paul and Jude, Peter said he was left with no choice but to report the matter to the authorities after a heated confrontation where Paul allegedly told him, "Peter, go and do your worst." Jude was subsequently detained by the EFCC, and after questioning, admitted to diverting millions of dollars. His bank accounts were frozen as a result.

Peter's revelation has certainly added fuel to the ongoing drama surrounding the P-Square brand, leaving fans to grapple with the complex dynamics of fame, family, and finance. Whether this latest chapter will mark a turning point for the brothers remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the story of P-Square is far from over.
