In Lagos’ ever-evolving entertainment landscape, the recently unveiled Adhiraj Mitra (Asoo) led Vintano Luxury Hotel in Lekki played host to a game-changing event on September 1st, 2024 – the highly anticipated Razzmatazz Showcase.
A melting pot of music, fashion, comedy, and high-end lifestyle, the event was an unforgettable night of glitz and artistic flair in one of the city's top hospitality spots.
Curated by Inspiro Productions and co-hosted by the suave Prince Of Style Folarin Oseni, aka along with ace promoter producer Ayoola Sadare, famously known as Shaddie Bobo, the Razzmatazz Showcase was much more than just an event – it was an experience. Supported by premium brands like Planet Afrobeats, Dusse Cognac, and Vintano Hotel itself, the evening saw some of Lagos’ elite come together for a celebration of creativity and entertainment.
An Elite Affair- A few prominent names graced the event, bringing their aura of sophistication. Among the top attendees were Chief Bube Okorodudu, Chairman of Cross Country; Deji Ayeni, Chairman of Grand Autos; Prince Princewill Utchay of Prime Chinese/Food Ltd; and Dipo Bello, Chairman of Hospital Equipments Ltd. Ambassador Odims (Jay Autos), Femi Dare (Link Stride), Kunle Ayo, the celebrated SA-based guitarist, style icon Jide Adefeso, DJ Jimbo of Effrakata Entertainment, and many others added to the night’s illustrious guest list.
Entertainment at Every Turn - Upon arrival, guests were immediately immersed in an opulent experience. From taking pictures at the events Paparazzi points with both 360° & Selfie booths, Vintano Hotel’s lobby set the stage with live music from multi-instrumentalist A-Strings, who effortlessly transitioned between the violin, piano, and guitar, alongside the soulful keys of producer Jesse Bangz. DJ Irawo, meanwhile, serenaded the crowd with her infectious rhythms on the talking drum.
Guests were not confined to a singular experience; instead, they were invited to explore different zones within the hotel. At the Ziba Lounge on the 6th floor, Count Martino hosted an interactive karaoke session that quickly became a crowd favorite. Meanwhile, the Zamora VIP Lounge delivered an intimate setting where lady DJ Vhicka provided the perfect soundscape as guests indulged in premium cigars from 2809 Cigars and refined spirits, while friendly games of snooker offered a casual diversion.
Poolside Magic Under the Stars - The heart of the night’s excitement took place poolside on the 5th floor. With a view overlooking the luxurious pool, the evening truly came to life. The Elite Band, bolstered by the saxophonist kingSax, captivated the audience with soulful and high-energy performances.
The Prince of Style Folarin Oseni momentarily displayed a few of his dance steps that people have known him for over the years and a new set just discovered, effortlessly displaying dexterity on the dance floor for someone his age! He was a delight to watch adding a different flavour to the event. Emerging talents from the 10Strings Music Institute, including Bukasi, Debby, Chiamaka and Akan, left an indelible mark with their vibrant acts. As the night wore on, rising stars like Eazyrox, UBX, and Hypeman Rex upped the ante, blending genres like Afrobeats and hip-hop to create an electrifying vibe. Chief saxophonist Mikifa wasn't to be left out of the mix as he delivered to melodious Afrobeats hits. As the evening progressed, Seun Olota and his Extasi Band kept the energy alive with their infectious music.
In another scene-stealing moment, Delightsome Skaters gracefully glided around the poolside, adding a touch of whimsy and visual flair to the night. Fashion also had its moment in the spotlight, with designer Mercy Ogori's Kokomi Africa turning heads on the runway as models showcased stunning, African-inspired pieces.
Comedy and Laughter Unleashed - The night wasn’t just about music and fashion. Laughter echoed throughout the event as the Emir of Lagos and his troupe of comedians took center stage, delivering punchlines that had the crowd in stitches. Their humor balanced the high-energy performances, adding a playful, lighthearted touch to the night.
