In a major step toward fostering international investment in Nigeria’s music sector, Mr. Pretty Okafor, President of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), recently hosted Brazilian billionaire investor Mr. Fabio Pavan in Abuja. The high-level meeting also included Mr. Tope Onifade, an international business consultant, as well as prominent figures from Nigeria’s music and business communities.
Joining Mr. Okafor were veteran musician Mr. Daniel Wilson, architect and CEO of SWC Ltd Mr. Felix Arome—representing Olusco Heritage & Investment Ltd—along with PMAN’s legal counsel Henrie Eduozor, Esq., PMAN’s FCT Governor Mr. Sydney Jack Sparrow, and Mr. Akin Olu Phillips.
The gathering commenced at the Transcorp Hilton before the parties moved to PMAN’s property in Abuja’s Kukwaba District, where they concluded a significant funding agreement aimed at advancing PMAN’s initiatives. This partnership marks a milestone in PMAN’s mission to position Nigeria’s music industry for sustainable growth.
Mr. Pavan voiced his confidence in Mr. Okafor’s leadership, expressing enthusiasm for his long-term vision for the association. The agreement represents a new chapter for PMAN, signaling substantial international interest and support for Nigeria’s music sector development.
